		<description>Buchanan gives boths sides of the coin, so you don&#039;t know which side he comes down on until the end of the piece.  And I&#039;m still confused as to what his point is.

Not all of Britain, but Churchill and others knew, at least by 1938, that Britain would eventually go to war with Hitler.  And many in the US knew too, and some _tried_ to prepare our armed forces as much as they could, even though most of the US was operating under a &quot;not our problem&quot; attitude towards Hitler and Germany.</description>
