Sycamore’s Notre Dame Petition

The Sycamore Trust is circulating a petition against President Obama’s honorary degree from Notre Dame.

Friends inside the University tell me that this is the petition to sign if you love Notre Dame and want to bring it around (the Cardinal Newman Society petition is for barnburners).

I’ve signed the petition and added this comment.

Gentlemen,
This devout Mormon attended Notre Dame because of, not in spite of, the deep Catholic commitment to certain universal and eternal moral truths. I am disappointed that Notre Dame is not fully honoring that commitment.
